PALM Camp is a one-day extended orientation program that will take place at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen on August 12, 2024. At PALM Camp, freshmen are given opportunities to learn Aggie traditions, Aggie Yells, meet their learning community peers, make friends, and learn more about life at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen. The camp is led by Texas A&M students.
Because this is our First Year Student Community welcome, all freshmen are encouraged to attend. Incoming students will be able to meet their learning community peers, their peer mentors and discussion group leaders, helping make meaningful connections before the start of the semester.
How much does it cost to attend PALM Camp?
Nothing, it’s FREE!
Is this an overnight experience?
No. All students are expected to arrive at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center on their own.
Will food be provided?
Breakfast will not be provided. However, we will provide lunch for all participants.
How much time should I expect to spend attending PALM Camp activities?
Registration and Check-In will open at 8:15 AM, and the program will conclude at 5pm.
